In preparation for my upcoming move, I’ve been getting my library in order. Note to self: switch book plates.
So I started a new Pyrex collection today. Thus far I had been collecting the turquoise Cinderella set, the spotted bowls, and if I ever run into a double boiler (not on ebay) I will snatch it up faster than fast. Today though I laid my eyes on the turquoise dish set. They are so beautiful, I hope to collect the whole set and use them forever and ever! The plates were only $8- and the sugar and creamer set $7- very cheap for such beautiful Pyrex.
I also landed this bright red casserol/salad/serving bowl which is super awesome for only $12- at an antique mall right outside the fairgrounds. They had one in the fair but it was $56- lame.
I also picked up these other random goodies…one of the boxes is my mom’s…we’re going to plant little flowers in them.
I had planned on posting my finds from Monroe,Wi but somehow I deleted them off my camera, plus I want to get a photo of the dress Luke bought me first. It’s tres belle!
Luke and I went on a mini-trip this weekend up to Monroe, WI. We packed a little picnic lunch, went bowling, ate tasty cheese sandwiches at Baumgartner’s Cheese Store and Tavern twice, and had the worst buffet breakfast nationally avaliable in New Glarus, WI.
I’m pretty sure I need a haircut. We also had some great thrift scores at the Monroe Antique Mall. More on those later.
That is how you spell Scrabble with only vowels, which was exactly my problem last night during our crazy Scrabble game. Only on one turn did I have two consonants, but that was my record non-vowel count. Jon on the other hand had the opposite problem.
Yesterday was the first meeting of the Knit Krew, and it was an excellent time. Veggie chili, homemade hummus and cupcakes. Here we have the core knit krew members (minus me taking the photo)…
A look at our project table…
We are planning on making a little knit krew website, but we’ll see. It may just turn out to be a myspace page.
I sure do have a lot of them. This summer I plan to…
…clean my marc bag
…make the flower garden quilt
…make a lot of clothes (from fabric I already have)
…train for the Chicago Marathon
…learn some knitwear design
…try new recipes
…move
…finish my paint by number
…read more
…make an elastic bottom serger cover
…finish all my half-finished projects
Speaking of half finished projects, I am about to post them all. Almost embarassing to post them all, there are so many. Here goes…

…Tendances Pull
…Priscilla’s Dream Sock
…Plunging V Neck Bodice
